DescriptionMix a little fun into DAC. Utilize your embedded skills as a community service, to make other people happy. With just a modicum of skills and budget, you can use your microcontrollers to drive your Christmas lights (and motorized) displays. Sync your lights to music, or to your own software-controlled sequences: you control the software. And for once, this is software not meant actually to solve any particular problem. Instead, you sculpt art with the software, simply for art's sake. Control it via IoT, and adapt outdoor displays to changing weather patterns. Architect master/slave wireless systems of MCU's, which control different subsystems within your display. Learn the basics, and challenges, of driving 120VAC/220VAC with your MCU, to your lights displays. This may not be the most advanced or high-paying embedded job you will ever do, but it may very well be the most rewarding. Residential and some commercial-grade exhibits will be covered.
