Emmanuel Stapf is a PhD student at the System Security Lab at Technical University of Darmstadt. His research focuses on hardware-supported security architectures for RISC-V based systems. After studying Computer Engineering in Mannheim, he completed two master degrees in IT Security and Computer Science at the TU Darmstadt. During this time, he was working at the Fraunhofer Center for Experimental Software Engineering, the Fraunhofer Institute for Secure Information Technology, KPMG Germany and SAP SE. Between 2017 and 2020, he worked as Research Assistant/PhD student for BMW AG, where he was responsible for research-related development projects in which the suitability of new technologies has been tested for vehicle access.
