Jeno Szep received the B.S. and M.Sc. degrees in mathematics and the Ph.D. degree in physics from Eötvös Loránd University, Budapest, Hungary, in 1979, 1981, and 1985, respectively. He has more than a decade of experience in the design, development, testing, and operation of large-scale governmental IT systems. He holds numerous certifications in the fields of IT service management, auditing, IT security, quality assurance, and project and risk management, and is a Senior Member of IEEE. He is currently a Senior Research Scientist at the Fraunhofer USA Center Mid-Atlantic. His research interests mainly include quality assurance, modeling and simulation, big data analytics, machine learning, and high-performance computing.
