Lixin Zhang received the BS degree in computer science from Fudan University, in 1993, and the PhD degree in computer science from the University of Utah, in 2001. He is a professor in the Institute of Computing Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing, China. His main research areas include computer architecture, data center computing, high performance computing, advanced memory systems, and workload characterization. He was previously a research staff member with IBM Austin Research Lab and a master inventor of IBM. He is a senior member of the IEEE.
