Alon Amid is a PhD candidate in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences, University of California, Berkeley. His current research focus includes parallel and distributed computing, energy-efficient processors and architectures, and hardware-software co-design. Most recently, he has worked on generator-based design flows for development of RISC-V SoCs, and analysis of vector and matrix acceleration within such SoCs. He has a B.Sc. in electrical engineering from Technion - Israel Institute of Technology, and an M.S. from the University of California, Berkeley.
