Zhiru Zhang is an Associate Professor with the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Cornell University. His current research interests include new algorithms, architectures, design methodologies, and automation tools for heterogeneous computing. He has received multiple best paper awards as well as early career awards from DARPA, NSF, the IEEE Council on Electronic Design Automation, etc. Prior to joining Cornell, he was a co-founder of AutoESL Design Technologies, Inc., a high-level synthesis (HLS) start-up. AutoESL was acquired by Xilinx in 2011 and its HLS tool later became Vivado HLS.
