Luigi Pomante has received the “Laurea” (i.e. BS+MS) Degree in Computer Science Engineering from “Politecnico di Milano” (Italy) in 1998, the 2nd Level University Master Degree in IT from CEFRIEL (Center of Excellence of “Politecnico di Milano”) in 1999, and the Ph.D. Degree in Computer Science Engineering from “Politecnico di Milano” in 2001. He had been a Researcher at CEFRIEL from 1999 to 2005 and, in the same period, also Temporary Professor at "Politecnico di Milano". From 2006, he is an Academic Researcher at DEWS (Center of Excellence of “Università degli Studi dell’Aquila”, Italy) and, from 2008, also Assistant Professor. His activities focus on Electronic System-Level Design Automation (with focus on HW/SW Co-Design) and Networked Embedded Systems (with focus on Wireless Sensor Networks). He has been (co)author of near 150 articles (conferences, journals, book chapters). He has been also member of several TPCs. He has been the person in charge of scientific and technical issues in several DEWS European research projects. By means of such projects (mainly Artemis/ECSEL ones) he has gathered funding for more than 3 M€.
