Aqeel Anwar received his Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Engineering and Technology (UET), Lahore, Pakistan, and a Master's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, GA, USA in 2012 and 2017 respectively. Currently, he is pursuing his Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology under the supervision of Dr. Arijit Raychowdhury.
His research interests include designing energy-efficient machine learning systems for autonomous machines. He is working towards shifting Machine Learning (ML) from cloud to edge nodes by improving the energy efficiency of current state-of-the-art ML algorithms and designing efficient DNN accelerators.
