SUMMARY:MOVED TO VIRTUAL: Security Beyond CMOS: Opportunities and Challeng
 es of Emerging Devices
DESCRIPTION:Special Session (Research Track)\n\nMOVED TO VIRTUAL: Security
Beyond CMOS: Opportunities and Challenges of Emerging Devices\n\nRajendra
n, Cammarota, Batina, Mentens, Sadeghi...\n\nWhile CMOS logic is widely us
ed for reliable and highly efficient systems, there are applications that
call for devices in non-CMOS or non-traditional CMOS technologies. On the
one hand, these novel device technologies need to be re-evaluated with res
pect to potential threats and attacks, and how these can be faced with exi
sting and novel security solutions and methods. On the other hand, these e
merging devices bring opportunities for building the secure systems of the
future. In this paper, we will give an overview of three important device
technologies and their security challenges and opportunities, namely memr
istors, thin-film transistors on plastic substrates, and CMOS logic in ful
ly depleted silicon on insulator (FD-SOI) technology.\n\nTopic: Design, IP
, Security\n\nVirtual Program: Hosted in Virtual Platform, Presented In-Pe
