SUMMARY:Christmas Lights Displays As Embedded Systems
DESCRIPTION:Designer, IP and Embedded Systems Track Presentations\n\nChris
tmas Lights Displays As Embedded Systems\n\nRoberts\n\nMix a little fun in
to DAC. Utilize your embedded skills as a community service, to make othe
r people happy. With just a modicum of skills and budget, you can use you
r microcontrollers to drive your Christmas lights (and motorized) displays
. Sync your lights to music, or to your own software-controlled sequences
: you control the software. And for once, this is software not meant ac
tually to solve any particular problem. Instead, you sculpt art with the
software, simply for art's sake. Control it via IoT, and adapt outdoor di
splays to changing weather patterns. Architect master/slave wireless syst
ems of MCU's, which control different subsystems within your display. Le
arn the basics, and challenges, of driving 120VAC/220VAC with your MCU, to
your lights displays. This may not be the most advanced or high-paying e
mbedded job you will ever do, but it may very well be the most rewarding.
Residential and some commercial-grade exhibits will be covered.\n\nTopic
