SUMMARY:Games, Dollars, Splits: A Game-Theoretic Analysis of Split Manufac
 turing
DESCRIPTION:Networking Reception, Work-in-Progress Poster\n\nGames, Dollar
 s, Splits: A Game-Theoretic Analysis of Split Manufacturing\n\nGohil\n\nSp
lit manufacturing has been proposed to prevent intellectual property (IP)
piracy. Researchers have formulated various attacks and defenses, creating
a cat-and-mouse game. Here, we take an orthogonal approach; rather than d
eveloping an attack or a defense, we propose a game-theoretic framework to
analyze their respective impact on performance and security from a moneta
ry standpoint. Our framework helps evaluate existing attacks and defenses.
We perform simulations using eight attacks, three defenses on ten benchma
rks. Our study indicates that an attacker should not use all available tec
hniques; instead, she should use a subset, and that large benchmarks are i
 nherently secure.\n\nVirtual Program: Presented In-Person
