SUMMARY:New file system to automatically "spill" workloads across Datacent
 er and Cloud
DESCRIPTION:Designer, IP and Embedded Systems Track Poster Networking Rece
ption\n\nNew file system to automatically "spill" workloads across Datacen
ter and Cloud\n\nPrasad, Sinha, Ajanovic\n\nInspite of the world migrating
to the Cloud, the compute intensive industries like Semiconductor design
are yet to benefit from it. Most organizations have invested in building a
large IT infrastructure to manage all the requirements. Since Cloud provi
des the latest technology and workload elasticity, it gives an opportunity
to be leveraged during peak demand. This in turn can lead to more cost-ef
ficient data centers which can now be designed for average load only. To a
chieve this, the biggest challenge is figuring out the minimum set of data
which needs to be uploaded/synchronized to the Cloud during the peak dema
nd. Since the current file systems available in the market are not designe
d to address this problem, the minimum data set needs to be identified and
synchronized manually before the peak demand. This makes the process of
bursting to the Cloud or a remote Datacenter inefficient, time-consuming,
and impractical.\n\nIn this paper, Spillbox, Inc. proposes a new file syst
em for hybrid Cloud which synchronizes data during peak demand automatical
ly and efficiently. This paper also highlights the benefits of this easy-t
o-use hybrid Cloud file system resulting in higher performance and overall
  cost reduction.\n\nVirtual Program: Presented In-Person
